Expression of the emotional life cycle set to a re-composition of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons
PORTLAND, ORE — January 23, 2014 — The local dance group, PDX Dance Collective,
presents Seasons, an original production that takes us on a journey through the emotional life cycle. Performed in the intimate setting of an art studio, audiences will be immersed and engaged throughout as the group explores everything from the joy of beginnings and wonder of innocence, to the complex and often desperate need to connect with others, and on towards the path of acceptance and letting go. The entirety of the show is set to a contemporary re-composition of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons by Max Richter.
Original members Elise Ericksen, Katelyn Kollinzas, and Rachael Brown along with one year member Gabriel Green and newcomer Hannah Downs, contribute their interpretations of this emotional journey through original choreography.
“Seasons is a spectacular highlight in PDX Dance Collective’s journey since we began four years ago,” says Rachael Brown, founding member. “We have really grown together as dancers, choreographers and friends. This will mark the first time we join our creative forces to create a production with one score of music. The result is magical.”
